New Product Blog Hop!

Today we are showing off some of the new products early!  The new catty goes live February 1st!

If you came here from Haley's blog, you are on the right track, if not, keep hopping and you will make a complete circle. I am showing off the new paper called LUCY!  It's Blush, Grey Wool, Creme Brulee, and Sweet Leaf!  I did this layout of my daughter and her new friend!

She loves the frogs!  Can't keep her away from them and we are by a lake so they are everywhere!
This layout is found in the Magic Book we sell!  It comes with a CD with templates for all the odd shaped pieces.  See above, I printed out the half circle, the 3 inch circle and the oval. (I left oval off) I put the 1/2 circle onto Blush Cardstock and cut around the template. I thought about my program Make The Cut and how it imports PDF files, so I did that too - see below:
I used the shapes to determine the size of the letters and then cut the words!
Here is a close up on the FROG

The picture has a hidden pull out journaling card.
The Magic book shows you how to add moving and hidden things to your pages.
My next project was a card.  I random stamped a new stamp set called Card Word Puzzle - goes great with Pemberley Paper!!!  I cut the butterfly out of the Pemberly B&T Paper, added some Sparkles and raised the wings!
The flowers are stamped with Outdoor Denim. I took my blending pen and rubbed it on the Outdoor Denim ink pad. Wiped most of the ink off onto a scrap piece and with the little bit left on the pen I ran it around the edges of the flower and created my own B&T paper!
I used the blending pen and Honey Ink to do the inside of the flowers.
Oops, forgot to draw the antennas back on with marker!
Inside I stamped the butterfly this time and colored it the same way with Honey Ink.
I used bitty brads for the body.
Sorry so many pictures - thanks for looking.

ScrapbookingSOS - 1 year Anniversary Blog Hop

Scrapbooking SOS blog is turning 1! If you came from Divinity's Blog, you are on the right track. If not, keep hopping and you will do a complete circle. If you get lost, you can start from the beginning here at Michelle's Blog.

I was asked to share some of my snowman artwork for this festive occasion.  So here is some of my snowmen I've made.  To see more great work, check out the other ladies sharing by blog hopping thru!
Thanks for looking!

This first one is an oldie but goodie.  The ear muffs are corduroy brads!
I stamped the scarf onto decorative paper and then cut it out to give it a pattern.
The swirls naturally went over the base of the snowman.  So I stamped the card with the base of the snowman and then stamped another one on white cardstock and cut it out - so it looks like it's flowing.

My next card is this one:
I made this with my Cricut!  Same stamp set from above, but black mini brads for eyes.

For addtional information on this card go to an earlier post of this card here:

Thanks for looking and congrats Scrapbooking SOS! To continue on the hop go to Lori's Blog!

The last of the Christmas Gifts

This is a set of socks!  I bought these at Walmart and I wanted white with
sparkles so that when I wrapped them, they would look like a cupcake!
Here is the Brighton Bracelet That my Girlfriend Wendy got yesterday!
(we do Christmas after the holidays are over so that there isn't extra stress.)
It doesn't sit the greatest, but I wanted it to match my other friend's gift too.
(love the crystal's colors!)
The cute backdrops are the little material bags that come with the
jewelery and tissue paper for the gift bags.
The cupcake wrapper I got on MTC and I added cute snowflake cutouts myself!
Here is Teri's gift.  She got 3 charms to go on her Brighton Charm Necklace.
There is a round ornament for the "cherry" on the cupcake.
Little diamond on both sides for extra sparkling.
Ahhh, the Brighton logo on the ribbons of the bags.
Here is one of the other charms - a little Gold and Silver purse . . .
The Gold & Silver purse opens!
Here is the Red little purse - wanted to give her different colors.
I took ribbons and tided them onto the charms so
that I could poke the ribbons into the cupcake and they
could hang off the sides like a topping.
 Side view.
 Other side.
You think the bags will give them away??
Here is the screen shot for the cupcake wrappers.
I'll let you know what I get soon!

Vinyl Princess

A person I know mentioned that her walls had a knock down finish and that vinyl didn't stick to her walls. I asked if she bought it as a pre-made image from a store - and she said yes.  So I did two sample pieces for her to see if my vinyl would stick better.  I'm hoping that she will want more art on her walls once she sees the commercial vinyl sticks better.  Here are the images I did for her daughter's bathroom:
Allie & Katie - I forgot to take pictures prior to putting the transfer tape on the images.
I couldn't leave out my baby girl - so I added one for her too!
Here it is on her bedroom wall above her bed - on the knock down finished wall!
Thanks for looking!

Cricut Cake, Gum Paste & Sugar Sheets

So with the help of my faithful assistant Jeanie,
we attempted to figure out how to cut a few different things with my
NEW Cricut Cake Machine!
Jeanie is using a pizza cutter to trim the excess off the edges so that the rollers
don't run over it and move the Gum Paste.
I had to get creative because the Gum Paste gets sticky when rolling it out.
I never took enough out to cover the whole sheet, but I was only testing it out.
first cut, I had to stop it - missed the fact that the Gum Paste wasn't covering to the corner.
But after moving it up, the butterfly was perfect and flawless!!!!
Instead of picking up the Gum Paste, I decided to keep going and use
up what I rolled out, a crown, star, and a few flowers.
Jeanie is showing off the butterflies' details
Look at how thin I cut the edges of this star! That's 2 inches big.
Here is all of them on a plate.
I then decided to add a few drops of food coloring and do some colors.
Several flowers.  The picture below shows white tape like strip above the pink Gum Paste.
That is from the roller.  The white got run over and then dried on the roller and then rolled off
while I was cutting the pink. Note to self: make sure rollers are clean before slipping in another color.
The brown swirl is from a Sugar Sheet - that is a thin sheet of frosting pre-made for you.
You WOULD have thought that it would have been easier to cut - since it's thin, rolled out for you - but NO, it was worse.  I blew a whole 1/3 of the sheet and it tastes yucky.  It's from Cricut and it could be
dried out.  I will try putting a damp paper towel in the bag to bring it back and try this again another day.
See the white flower with the rough edges?  That one is upside down.
The backs all looked that way - weird hey?
Here is what happened with the other pieces -
Jeanie took regular tube frosting and decorated them - then she ate them.
I'm keeping them to see what they feel and look like in a few days -
I think these will get SUPER hard and brittle.
I have a marshmallow fondant recipe that I'll have to try next too!
Now, I need to write up my class handouts for my newest Cricut Class!
