October Stamp of the Month Blog Hop - Home for the Holidays

Here we are hopping thru the blog again.
If you are coming from Jilena's Blog, you are on the right track,
otherwise you can start here and do a complete circle.
This month's stamp set is called Home for the Holidays and looks like this:

The ones with red lines around them work with our Cricut Cartridge Art Philosophy! The size listed is what to set your dial on the Cricut to cut and the stamp will fit inside it!

Here is the card I made:

The top layer behind the bear is Washi Tape, then there is a strip of our Teal Shimmer tape followed by a section of our Christmas Paper called Snowhaven - there is a sheet that is all different strips - making it look like I layered several items behind the bear!

I stamped the tag in Cranberry to make it a pop of color. It's raised with foam tape. I also added glitter glue on the snowflakes to add a little more sparkle. (Sorry I think the glue is discontinued).
Thanks for looking and now hop over to  Sarita's blog to see what great things she created with this stamp set!

My Sister's Birthday Card

My sister has a great yard filled with tons of flowering plants and trees.  She has a garden of fruits and veges throughout  her yard as well.  She literally removed all her grass and did plants and paths everywhere.  So for her birthday, I did a Strawberry Pop Up Card!  She's got a ton of those too!

The card is part of a set at SVGCuts.com and I made it on my Cricut using MTC software.

I post on Facebook and forget to put things here!

Teacher gifts

My Daughter Jeanie asked me to make something special for her student teacher and her teacher.  These are what I created with SVGCuts.com:

The front little pocket is for decoration. Going to fill them with candy and gift cards! The paper is from when I started at CTMH 8 years ago!  Loved it then and works great for this project now!

Jeanie's Birthday Cake

I created a roller skate out of paper using two kits from SVG Cuts.com.
One kit has an ice skate and the other has round gift boxes -
put the two together and created the roller skate I needed.
My daughter had her 8th Birthday Party at the local roller rink with some friends and family.

This month's stamp set is:

Wild About Love

Sooo perfect for Valentine's Day Cards! I made 2!!!

Ok, now some of these stamps I can't just put on anyone's card/envelope
- so I saved the best for the hubby!
The Wild Thing is raised with foam squares and
the hearts were stamped with textured stamp set and sponged.

I put this in the inside and that on the envelope!

THIS IS MY DAUGHTER'S CARD!!! Do ya get it????
Bling on the flower!
TIP:  When cutting out things with your cricut to go with our stamps CUT MORE THAN ONE!!!
(my sister consultant Kathy B reminded me of this)
Why? Not just for mistakes, but for using later! I did a bunch of sizes and shapes and filled a whole page.
I put them into a drawer for use later - some of these shapes will be used in future SOTM stamp sets!!
Thanks for looking, leave a comment and please keep hopping! Next is Lucy's Blog!

Flower Box - Regionals Project

It was fun today in classes. They had the spotlight on the Cricut Machine today! {Go Figure, it's right up my alley!} I DID learn a few things that I'll be able to add to my classes. I enjoyed watching a Newbie teach "the class" and then we made this cute Flower box! We did it with 3 flowers on top! The book just shows one, but the colors with 3 are way better! Enjoy, and I'll write more soon!

Stamp of the Month Blog Hop - My Sunshine

We are hopping around for the Stamp of the Month again - even on Easter!

If you are coming from Laurie's Blog, you are on the right track!
If not, keep jumping and you will do a complete circle.

Here is the stamp set this month:

Remember, that all the items outlined in red are on our Cricut Cartridge - Artiste.
So I cut a few of them out . . .

I layered the balloons after stamping them in different colors.  I used foam tape to make them pop!
I sponged the baskets to add color to them. I used Sky Ink for the clouds and sponged the edges. The hard part was lining up the stamps with the balloon pieces.

Of course, I've been in the kitchen creating too . . .

(He now has a dark purple jelly bean nose)
Thanks for looking, now hop over to Krista's Blog to see what she has created!

Happy Easter!

Writing on the wall

Something I did before Christmas, my church asked me to do some "writing" on their wall! I cut and and installed this on their wall! My husband and I did it during a school day. Boy, did we draw attention from students and staff. It was fun and I'll be doing more for them again!

October Stamp of the Month - Very Merry Christmas

Here we go again hopping, but this time to the holidays!
If you came from Shirley's blog, you are on the right track, if not, keep hopping and you will do a complete circle.

I DON'T WANT TO THINK OF CHRISTMAS YET!
But I will for this Hop!

 Here is the stamp set!
CTMH likes to put their stamp sets out 2 months prior to the events - like Christmas!

Remember, all the red outlines are items that can be cut out using our Cricut Cartridges!
This one works with Artiste!

I went one step further in the Cricut Craft Room and
welded mittens back to back and made mini present tags!
(There is a vertical and a horizontal flip button)
(if this came out of the oven, I'd be a head chef!) hee hee
I used 3 of the stamps for the inside - YES the TO and FROM are part of this set!!
I stamped the pink stamp onto the front of the card and then stamped the blue
on an extra piece of Colonial White cardstock and cut off the cuff.
Add some glue and sprinkle with Prisma Glitter and TA-DA!
I did a dozen of them - stocking up for the future!

Thanks for looking!  Please leave a message.
Also, you can get this stamp set for $5 with a purchase of $50!
See my shopping page for details: CLICK HERE.
Now head over to Elizabeth's blog for more great artwork with this stamp set!

Batty over Halloween Decor!

I don't have a mantel so I'm doing my couch table!
I love Halloween and dressing up and decking out the house for the occasion!  This year it's no different!  I created a coffin from our new Cricut Cartridge Artiste and then I modified the top to add texture and a pattern.
See here is the added piece that I embossed with my Cuttlebug and then took our Daisy White pigment ink and gave it an eerie glow/dusting!
At the end of this post is how I created the top piece in Cricut Craft Room.
I am willing to share this file if you have this cartridge!
Leave a post and I'll email you the file!

These jars are my inspiration!  I found them on SVGCUTS.com and loved them.  I bought our Magic Potions Stamp set and had to find a vessel for the stamps. When these jars came to me I had to have them too!  This is how they look (above) without the camera's flash.

With the flash on my camera these jars glow!  It's the pigment ink showing off!
The spider sits higher than he looks, he's raised up on 3 foam squares and I tipped his head down.  That's almost a whole pack of Black Sparkles on his body!

All of these jars open and are great for gifts or candy jars!  Even the witches shoe is a candy dish - gotta go buy candy now!

So I laid out the coffin pieces and then using triangles from that cartridge I started following the base of the cover.
Above is 2 triangles I'm using to cover the inside surface of the cover.  The cover I told it to DON'T WELD- so nothing would blend in with it.  The triangles were all WELD.

Here shows the two triangles welded together.
 More triangles. . . .
And more
(the highlighted "box" above is really a triangle, but a box would have worked too.)
In the end I used an oval to cover the leftover holes.  When I first put the circle on top, it acted like it wasn't welding but cutting out an oval.  After clicking on all the pieces again and DON'T WELD and then clicking WELD for each piece it suddenly worked and I got this shape:
 TA DA!!!
Now, all the pieces are still separate.
I drew a box around the pieces and then clicked GROUP
so that it won't accidentally get moved and come apart.
I am willing to share this file if you have this cartridge!
Leave a post and I'll email you the file!
Thanks for looking!
