December Stamp of the Month Blog Hop - Special Care

Hello again and welcome to our monthly blog hop!  If you came from Katy's blog, you are on the right track, if not, start here and keep hopping, you will do a complete circle.

This month's stamp set is Special Care:

Three of these stamp can be cut out with the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge - see the red outline.

I thought of my baby girl when she was in the tub in Wisconsin Dells. It's really a hot tub in our hotel room. She and Daddy had a blast - better than the cold pool!  It was Thanksgiving weekend 6 years ago.

WARNING NAKED BABY PICTURES:
I used the HANDLE WITH CARE stamp and created a background paper by stamping the image in rows.  I White Pigment stamped the Special Care stamp on the top right. There's even a Warning Label stamp.
The top is the left page and this one above is the right.  I have this one in the page protector because I added flip flaps to the center, on top of the page protector so they can be opened without having to take out the page.  Underneath is naked Daddy chest - and I promised to hide that - but still scrap them.
A couple of clear gems for bling and sparkle.

Thanks for looking - please leave a comment!
Now hop over to Vicki's blog to see what she created with this stamp set!

Modified Baby Album

We cut my daughter's hair for the first time since she was born 5 years ago and I remembered it's something to write in her Baby Book.  Once I opened that book and started reading and seeing a few items missing I spent several days making sure I got back up to speed on all of her memories. There is still plenty for me to finish.

I also decided to add a few extra pictures and the easiest way without covering up too much of the book was to add some Flip Flaps!  Here is some of the extra photos I added to her book:
Above is a post card to all my Real Estate Customers announcing her.
Here is the other side of the post card (above)
My sister did a photo shoot with her all dressed up one day
First trip to the dentist - she got scared
Ended up needing to sit on my lap
Potty training - love the hair - she'll hate this one when she's 16!
1st Cup (the back side of the potty photo - it flips down on this page)
The hair - a small sample of the hair!
 1st Trip - The Dells
 1st Train Ride
1st Birthday and Invite that is attached with Velcro so you can take it out
tickles with Daddy

Thanks for looking!

January 2011 Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Again we are stamping through to the new year with our stamp of the month blog hop!
You should be coming from Jen Patrick's blog - if not, keep hopping and you'll do a complete circle - check out what others have came up with for this new stamp set. and please leave a comment - we love comments!

This month it's Find Your Style D1452 - I love the Shoe and the Dress Form and well, ALL of these stamps!
I'm giving you a sneak peek at one of the projects that I'll be teaching at my weekend retreat NEXT WEEKEND!!! (still room - come along!)  Using our new Flip Flaps I created extra panels making two pages super sized!

Above is when the panels are closed.
 Left Side Close Up above
 Right Side Close Up above

8 x 12 Flip Flap Panel opened up on Left Side - these Flip Flaps attach to the sheet protectors!  They add more room while still protecting your photos from fingers!
Right Side Opened Up - 4 x 12 Flip Flap
This stamp is also part of the set - love the phrase.
You really can't see the color too much - I used a blending pen to color the words in so that each word stands out. You rub the pen onto the ink pad and it picks up some color and then you color the paper with it - it's a very lite/soft process - almost like water coloring.  I also bent the wings up and these are glued on the outside of the sheet protectors for dimension.

The paper is Wings - January/Febrary's (new catty) paper - so another sneak peek you are getting!

Thanks for looking and now check out Melinda Everitt's Blog to see more!

Mini Flip Flap Album

A Sister Consultant showed us this Flip Flap album in September and we planned on making them at the next Unit Meeting, but I couldn't wait and figured out how to do it - it's a good thing I did because everyone I showed wants one or wants to do one. It is very easy. I don't know if you can tell there is a flap that opens on the right where it says "there's no place like home".

The Flip Flaps are individual pockets for pictures that have an adhesive end that you can use to add a picture to anything. I used the paper from our Sweet Home Paper Kit and created the cover and back. I scored it where the Flip Flap pocket ends so it would fold open without pulling on the glue. There is no stamping, just used the Stickease from the Sweet Home Level 2 Pack and a few pearls for bling.
