Sooo perfect for Valentine's Day Cards! I made 2!!!

Ok, now some of these stamps I can't just put on anyone's card/envelope 

- so I saved the best for the hubby!

The Wild Thing is raised with foam squares and 

the hearts were stamped with textured stamp set and sponged.

I put this in the inside and that on the envelope!

THIS IS MY DAUGHTER'S CARD!!! Do ya get it????

TIP:  When cutting out things with your cricut to go with our stamps CUT MORE THAN ONE!!!

Why? Not just for mistakes, but for using later! I did a bunch of sizes and shapes and filled a whole page.

I put them into a drawer for use later - some of these shapes will be used in future SOTM stamp sets!!

December Stamp of the Month Blog Hop - Mad About You

This month's stamp set is called MAD ABOUT YOU!

See those red lines around the stamp images?! That means our Cricut Cartridge can cut those shapes out.  I didn't use my baby this month.  I was stuck on that big swirling stamp in the bottom left corner.  I saw that and decided to stamp that in a light Gray called Gray Flannel- and from there I saw the card in black, white and grays - and a splash of RED for pop..

  I used foam tape to pop up the top two panels and the heart.

 The inside is also layered but no foam tape here.

December Stamp Of The Month Blog Hop

It's here again - the hop and can you believe it's December!  Santa's on his way!  You should be coming from Adeline Brill's blog, if not just keep hopping and you will make a complete circle.

This month stamp set is Amore D1445 - Close To My Heart is always 2 months ahead with their stamp of the month's so even though it's Christmas time, this stamp set is geared towards Valentine's day - Aren't they smart at Corporate!

I made two simple cards, again using a stash that I had pre created from a workshop months ago but I just felt the colors were perfect for Valentine's Day cards. 

I did a second generation stamp for the heart and then stamped the LOVE over it - using the same color, the heart just looks lighter. I also, love the boarder stamp of hearts - I used that along the edge on the darker pink.  The ink I used is Hollyhock.

The card below I added tiny hearts to the B&T paper to match the words.

I just felt that these cards weren't enough so I started playing with the large heart stamp.  

I bent the top in more before stamping the image so that it was more like a heart then how it sat on the sheet.  I stamped it in Hollyhock ink and then took the Tulip Marker and traced some of the lines. 

I added extra dots everywhere. (I call this doodling!  I LOVE TO DOODLE!) Using a White gel pen I added some highlights down the center of the leaves, under edges and a few white dots here and there.  To finish it off I took Liquid Glass and dotted all the dots with it to give it a shine.  I don't think my camera caught the shine.  I sponged around the torn edges with Hollyhock. 

I mounted it on Chocolate cardstock that I got wet and crunched in my hand to create a quick pleat.  Let me know what you think!

The Nugget Box Stands Alone

My title sounds like a kids song - "the cheese stands alone" does anyone know that one - It's in my head now. Anyway, my daughter was circling my table all day when I was creating the 4 Drawer Box that I posted a few days ago and she kept saying "is that for me?" I told her if she let me finish without circling like a hungry shark, I'd make her one and fill it with a surprise! I used a Pewter Decorative Brad for the handle, and she does have a hard time opening it by pulling the brad, can't grip it under the brad. The heart is another chipboard one I cut out using my Cricut. In fact, this whole box was done on my Cricut. I designed it so I didn't have to pick up a cutter. In the picture below you can see just right of the heart, on the fold is a cut line. I put that in so that it will fold without having to score it! So my little peanut disappeared into the living room long enough for me to make one for her and even decorate it and as promised, I filled it with candy - just in time for Valentine's Day!

My 3D Valentine Card

Here is another great card that I'll be doing for a workshop. It comes in it's own mini box! I can get a few cards into that box! Now I did Valentine's day cards, but you can do any paper pack you would like and create a different theme - Birthday, Everyday, Thank Yous - anything!

The box is the picture above, looks like a pizza or mini shirt box. I stamped the heart twice and cut it out and layered it with foam squares to give it dimension.

I used our Heartfelt Felt piece to embellish the card.

Here is a second one from the same paper pack. When you cut up a whole pack, you will have a couple of styles you can make depending on which papers you put together.

All you need is to purchase a level 2 paper kit and sign up for the workshop. Again, I'll be supplying cutting guides so we can make as many cards as the kit will allow. Let me know if you would be interested in making these!

Modified Weeds!

When this stamp set came out I called it my set of weed stamps (Treasure Life - Stamp of the month last year - I have extras if interested in purchasing a set!) now try and tell me they didn't look like weeds - well, I saw someone adjusted this flower by adding hearts to make it a great valentine's day card. So I scraplifted the idea too. I put the holiday red cardstock onto foam squares and raised it - looked better than just flat on the card.

The hearts are from the Solo O stamp set. There is 2 sizes on that set! Also, I used holiday red ink and baby pink.

Cards for Work

So yesterday I woke up as early as I could and created 2 cards to take to work with me - one for the boss and one for my co-worker (small office) and this is what I came up with in a pinch.

I had these cards from a 30 cards workshop (I've done enough that I can pull one for just about any occasion and make it work!) Sorry the paper is from at least 2 years ago and discontinued, but the stamps are brand new and one of my MUST HAVES - there is two stamp sets Family Ties - Children (what I used) and Family Ties - Adults!

The little girl is holding a cell phone and I took a foam square, cut in half and punched a heart and put it over the cell phone! (It's a great feeling to open up your drawer of punches and there's a heart punch just waiting for you!)

The little boy was running and I just stuck the heart over his hand. I then used CTMH markers to color in their clothes and shoes! I love coloring with our markers. (I just noticed I must have been moving with the camera - I didn't stamp a double image of him hmmm...saving for new camera.
