Jeanie's Birthday Prep - Cupcakes!

I took Strawberry cake mix and put it in a double pan so that it's half the normal height.
About a one inch in height.
After it cooled I took the middle mini cutter to the cake
I stood them up inside the chocolate batter - filling the cups 2/3.
Because I put the hearts all the same way, when I frosted them I put a little line in the frosting so I could know which way to cut them to show the heart!
I cut fondant tiaras with my Cricut Cake machine!
The big one is for Jeanie's cupcake - what's that in the bottom corner?!?!
It's a 3D flower!  I'll show you that soon!
Here is all the cupcakes with the tops on!  I put the tiaras on the line I drew in the frosting so I still know which way to cut the cupcake!

Here is Jeanie's!  Thanks for looking!

The last of the Christmas Gifts

This is a set of socks!  I bought these at Walmart and I wanted white with
sparkles so that when I wrapped them, they would look like a cupcake!
Here is the Brighton Bracelet That my Girlfriend Wendy got yesterday!
(we do Christmas after the holidays are over so that there isn't extra stress.)
It doesn't sit the greatest, but I wanted it to match my other friend's gift too.
(love the crystal's colors!)
The cute backdrops are the little material bags that come with the
jewelery and tissue paper for the gift bags.
The cupcake wrapper I got on MTC and I added cute snowflake cutouts myself!
Here is Teri's gift.  She got 3 charms to go on her Brighton Charm Necklace.
There is a round ornament for the "cherry" on the cupcake.
Little diamond on both sides for extra sparkling.
Ahhh, the Brighton logo on the ribbons of the bags.
Here is one of the other charms - a little Gold and Silver purse . . .
The Gold & Silver purse opens!
Here is the Red little purse - wanted to give her different colors.
I took ribbons and tided them onto the charms so
that I could poke the ribbons into the cupcake and they
could hang off the sides like a topping.
 Side view.
 Other side.
You think the bags will give them away??
Here is the screen shot for the cupcake wrappers.
I'll let you know what I get soon!

Spider Cupcakes

An Army Of Spiders! At least they look friendly! We made these cupcakes with strawberry cake batter so they were red when you bit into them! They smelled awesome!
Jeanie and I made these for her class last week. Didn't have time to post prior to the holiday.  We took licorice and pulled the strands apart and I came up with the great idea of putting them into the microwave to make them soft and bubbly.
The bubbles were unexpected but nice.
As the cooled they got harder and they kept the bent leg shape!
Here is what they looked like without mouths and frosting on their eyes.  The eyes are white chocolate chips.  That was a lot of microwaving for 8 legs per cupcake!
I took a zip lock bag and put frosting in it, cut off the corner and put a decorating tip in the corner to decorate the eyes.  Thanks for looking.

The cupcakes with their Tops!

Ok, it's been a week since I made these, but here are the finished goodies! The teacher and class just loved these. Nothing like something fun to eat and something to play with afterwards! The hubby helped me make the cupcakes (actually, he did the most of it - I was writing up a listing file (We do real estate for a real job - just listed a condo that night!) He had bought this cool cookie frosting in a tube (I told him to buy green or black frosting) and you squeeze it out and it sets smooth!
Action shot! Jeanie putting the pumpkins in! Sorry blurry!

Here's the before shot! She's tickled to be helping! (She's leaning on the table - that's not a huge belly!)
Group Shot!
I don't know how I'll top myself for the next treat day! I've got 3 more this school year! By the time I'm done, I'll be hiring a clown!
Happy Halloween - Hope your's is safe and fun!!
