Stamp of the Month Blog Hop - Baroque Borders

If you came from Sheila's Blog, you are going in the right direction, if not, start here and keep hopping and you'll do a complete circle.

Here is what this month's stamp set looks like:

They are fun and huge!  I wanted to do something with heat embossing so here is my card:

I'm still looking at this card and thinking "hmmm.....it needs something...." I used gold embossing powder for the gold and Twilight paper and ink for the rest.  I used 3 stamps from this set to create this card.
Close Up.
Maybe words under the little black box like "happy birthday" in a tiny font....  Or I'll pop the center flourish off and do something else - who knows!  I enjoyed embossing my whole office - the central air conditioning would turn on just as I was pouring the powder and I felt like Tinkerbell with pixie dust.

Thanks for looking and now hop over to Allisa's blog to see some other great ideas for this stamp set.

Action Shot!

My daughter has talked about seeing in an ad about a Zip Line in the Wisconisin Dells and that she would love to try it - well here is a mini Zip Line that she loved at a Gymnastics Birthday Party!  They said she had great form! (Look out Wisconsin Dells - we'll be trying that there - not!)

How I spent my summer vacation?

SUMMER

It's going by too fast.  I've not had time to post hardly anything the last few months.

Things keeping me busy:
I've been working on losing weight - I'm a happy 15 lbs lighter! I have an app for it!
Jeanie in swimming and tumbling classes and attended 4 birthday parties
Sleeping in the Camper, babysitting neighbor kids for a weekend
Golf League on Friday nites - just for fun!
(I can't even think!) So much more!

Here is a name in vinyl I did for a friend's sister:

The photo was taken with a cell phone and so it may be a little harder to see.  It is 36 x 12 inches big (looks small in the photo!)

I will post more soon.

July Stamp of the Month Blog Hop - Live Out Loud

IT'S JULY ALREADY
SLOW DOWN SUMMER!!!!!

I need to slow down.  I'll be attending my 2nd Graduation Party tomorrow, I've been to 4 birthday parties and there is still 3 to go!  Relatives coming in from out of state in August and we still haven't taken the new camper to a site - but we did sleep in it 2 nights this week via back yard - REALLY testing that air conditioner!

Anyway, if you came from Pamela's blog, then you are going in the right direction, if not, keep jumping and you will do a complete circle.  This month it's these cute word stamps!

I decided to do something black and white. A simple card on my
Cricut using the AP Cartridge.

The top butterfly was cut out of the bottom of the card.  I cut the center frame out but not before I cut an additional one so that this one nested better (frame in a frame).  So there is a thin 1/4 inch frame scrapped.

I stamped the word Soar in black and used foam tape to make the frame stand off the card.

Thanks for looking, please feel free to comment.  Now hop over to Wanda's blog and see what great ideas she had!

Stamp of the Month Blog Hop - Life is Tweet

If you are coming from Tamra’s blog, you are on the right track. If you are starting here, just keep hopping and you will do a complete circle.
This month’s stamp set is SUPER ADORABLE and called Life is Tweet:

See that red line around the flower stamp?  I focused on that one!  That red line means that image is on our Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge and yes I cut them out and created with it!
I’ve had a crazy month, but managed to get everything done!  My daughter’s last day of school is today!  We went shopping and filled a goodie bag up with tons of fun things for her Teacher, Teacher’s Aide and the two bus drivers she has!  I put them in a cello bag tied with ribbon and added a small flower with a dragonfly sitting on it for decoration.

The flower is from this stamp set!  Also, I cut out a circle to cover up the Life Is Tweet saying in the middle. The dragonfly was also done on the Cricut and I stamped a Background stamp over him and then sponged more ink to fill in the white areas.

The back of the bag is below – lots of goodies!

I found/created 4 thank you cards in my stash of cards and attached them as well.
Another card I did I Scrap Lifted from a fellow consultant and I’m using for my Dotty For You Workshop – Get the paper by end of today and you too can be doing the workshop too! Workshop is: 6 Two Page Layouts, 13 cards, and 1 Mini 6x6 Album!

You stamp the bird onto patterned paper and then cut his body out, then stamp the bird onto the white cardstock and place the body on top of the legs!  The white cardstock was also cut on the Cricut and cut in half.  Also, Next Month is Buy Two Stamps Get One Free!  So start a list now!
Now, off to pack the little one for a sleep over, prep for 4 birthdays parties and a work party all in the next 2 weeks! The fun never stops!

Posting for a Friend

A friend of mine emailed me yesterday and said that if she had a blog she would post her newest creation. I thought I would surprise her at lunch today and post it on my blog for her!  She made this cutie as a practice piece. I think he's adorable! I think any child would cherish it!

Thanks for looking!
