Something about Mary

While in Chicago at the Regionals, they took our photo and then we did a layout. Here is mine.

Of course, it's not done, but now that I'm home I can add more to it, like a title and finish journaling.
We were asked several questions for journaling - Like:
Why did you join Close To My Heart?
What makes you stay?
What have you learned about yourself?
Nice reflection

More art from Chicago

The photo above is a picture of Monica's family on the beach with a rug under the chairs - how cool is that!?

Some of these items won awards - like the picture frame below and others were auctioned off to raise money for Operation Smile

Above is a chalk board with our new fabrics. I think the canvas 6x6 are the bases!

Love the balloon PARTY banner on the left!
Cupcake cards that the wrapper opens - all on our Cricut Cartridges!

See the pie boxes above too?!

Paper Doll house!

Learned some great techniques with our markers and stamps!  I'll have to do a class!

The cat has sparkles on the pillow, don't know if you click on the photo if they will show!

Artwork from Chicago

I can't give the right person credit for these items, but they created baskets from out fabric!
A great way to use the cubbys
A frame with our paper on it! Love the flowers!

More to come!

Flower Box - Regionals Project

It was fun today in classes. They had the spotlight on the Cricut Machine today! {Go Figure, it's right up my alley!} I DID learn a few things that I'll be able to add to my classes. I enjoyed watching a Newbie teach "the class" and then we made this cute Flower box! We did it with 3 flowers on top! The book just shows one, but the colors with 3 are way better! Enjoy, and I'll write more soon!

Stamp of the Month Blog Hop - My Sunshine

We are hopping around for the Stamp of the Month again - even on Easter!

If you are coming from Laurie's Blog, you are on the right track!
If not, keep jumping and you will do a complete circle.

Here is the stamp set this month:

Remember, that all the items outlined in red are on our Cricut Cartridge - Artiste.
So I cut a few of them out . . .

I layered the balloons after stamping them in different colors.  I used foam tape to make them pop!
I sponged the baskets to add color to them. I used Sky Ink for the clouds and sponged the edges. The hard part was lining up the stamps with the balloon pieces.

Of course, I've been in the kitchen creating too . . .

(He now has a dark purple jelly bean nose)
Thanks for looking, now hop over to Krista's Blog to see what she has created!

Happy Easter!

Early St. Patty Bling

Just a quick post - I created these for my daughter to wear these to school. She said the band hurt so I made the hair band for her. Happy St. Patty's Day early!!

Spring in a Jar - My first contest!

SVGCuts.com is having a contest with their kits.  I had to use only the contents of a few kits to create something new or update something they did.  So I created a acetate jar with Spring inside.

This jar is from the Toil and Trouble Kit - it's a potion jar that I did at Halloween.
This one is over a foot tall!

Here is some pictures of it all going together:
It was a feat of magic to put the lid and jar together - did you know if you bend it too far it snaps in half!
Here is my Cricut cutting lots of colors all at once - ran this machine about 4 times full of leaves.
The Clematis leaves were used to create a base and make the ground uneven and full of greens.
I love Clematis plants.  My current house doesn't have one. Can't get it to grow.  Now I have one all year round in my house.  I plan on making a bigger one for my bedroom wall.
The fence is rectangles twisted into pipes and then I took twine and made it look like it's holding the plant.
Some flowers are added and more leaves.
 Finished the plants!
Thanks for looking!  Check out SVGCuts.com for all their kits and you can follow the contest on their Facebook page: Spring Challenge.

Wish me luck!
